Job Specification – Quantity Surveyor
We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Clients expanding team based in Tipperary
The successful Candidate will manage all costs relating to construction projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures, ensuring value for money while meeting quality and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for projects.
- Evaluate contractor quotations and manage procurement processes.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring financial efficiency.
- Measure and value works carried out on-site, preparing interim and final accounts.
- Manage contract administration, variations, and claims.
- Provide advice on contractual matters and resolve disputes.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for management.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety, and sustainability requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
- Knowledge of construction contracts, pre cast concrete is an advantage
- Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Full Clean EU Drivers Licence
